We are thrilled to welcome you to the Senior School, which is now fully established with both Years 11 and 12. This development marks a significant milestone for our school as we are fully established. The crucial foundation of the Senior School is to empower and prepare our students to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead post schooling.

As we embark on this academic journey, we want to remind our community of the critical importance of attendance. Regular attendance is essential, especially in the Senior School, where we allow students up to five absences with a medical certificate and five without. This structure helps ensure that all students are fully engaged and making the most of their educational opportunities. The Senior School wants to see all our students every single day- we notice when they’re not here.
This year is particularly significant for our Year 12 students, who recently experienced their last “first day of school.” It’s a moment filled with nostalgia and anticipation as they prepare for the end of their high school experience. To celebrate this milestone, all Year 12 students have received their Year 12 Jackets—a proud visual reminder of their final year and the commitment they are making to their education and future.
We look forward to an exciting and productive year ahead, filled with opportunities for growth and achievement.
VCE:VM
Our students completing Unit 1 of the Vocational Major for their VCE have started the year learning that there are many responsibilities when completing an applied learning course. They are busily sourcing Structured Workplace Learning so that they can gain ‘real world experience’. This is a very important part of their learning. Over the two years students should experience at least four different work placements. Not only does this enable students to experience a range of different work placements, it also supports students to build their resume and references.
Our students completing Unit 3 of the Vocational Major are focused on their studies and their life after Elevation Secondary College. Many are continuing their SBATs and expanding their time on the worksite as they organise themselves to more full time into work in 2026. Some are starting to investigate future TAFE pathways. All students are meeting with the Careers Team to plan for 2026.
Careers & Pathways
In 2025, the Careers Program at Elevation SC, is aimed at a carefully planned program to assist every student in Year 7 to 12 to make informed decisions about possible future pathways and careers. To effectively manage multiple careers that balance different forms of work with other priorities and interests, a young person needs to develop a specific set of knowledge, skills and attributes.
To develop key Career education skills and attributes, all students are encouraged to undertake thorough learning experiences in the classroom and extra-curricular programs in a range of training and workplace settings. It helps students make informed decisions about courses and careers and gives them skills and knowledge to effectively navigate multiple and complex careers throughout life.
We encourage all students to continue to develop their own skills, strengths and interests, by engaging in Work Experience/ Placement, School Based Apprenticeships, Sports, the Arts, Career Action Plans, Morrisby, and 1:1 Careers Counselling.
The personal careers navigation all relates to the 3 key areas of career development outlined below. These areas should be viewed as inter-related; and are generally developed concurrently rather than separately.
To help match future work and further training options, we encourage all students to visit the Careers team (in B8) to discuss possible opportunities to develop these skills & knowledge.
