Senior School
The Senior School is entering a pivotal period of assessments, examinations, and transitions. As the year draws to a close, our students are demonstrating dedication, resilience, and enthusiasm for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Year 12
On the final day of Term, our Senior School, Year 12 students, and Mentor Group Teachers celebrated the end of classes with a fun-filled excursion to FunFields. It was wonderful to see our students enjoying themselves, running around, soaking in the pools, and making lasting memories with their friends and cohort.
Early last week our Year 12 students officially commenced their VCE Examinations, beginning with the English Exam on Tuesday. We were absolutely thrilled to see so many students leaving the exam room with smiles on their faces and a sense of accomplishment. Their positive attitude truly sets the tone for the remainder of the exam period.
We wish all our Year 12s the very best of luck for their upcoming examinations. As our inaugural graduating cohort, they have set a high standard for the younger years to follow. We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work, perseverance, and leadership throughout this milestone year.
Year 11
And just like that, our current Year 11 cohort has become the eldest in the school. From today, they begin their transition into leadership roles and the final stage of their secondary journey. In just one year’s time, they too will be sitting their final exams; a reminder that Year 12 will come around faster than they expect! Our best advice: stay focused, stay organised, and enjoy the last year of school.
All Year 11 students will soon be completing their Year 11 Examinations. To support their preparation, Monday, 10 November will be a Student Study Day—students are permitted to study from home on this day.
The Year 11 Examination Timetable is attached below. Students are encouraged to review it carefully and ensure they are prepared for each subject.
Following the exam period, all Year 11 students will move into their Year 12 Transition Program, beginning Monday, 20 November and concluding Monday, 27 November.
These sessions are compulsory and mark the official commencement of Year 12 classes and attendance requirements. It is essential that students attend every day, as teachers will begin introducing key content and expectations for the year ahead.
This is an exciting and transformative time for the Senior School. We are proud of the growth, commitment, and spirit our students continue to show. As we enter the final weeks of the academic year, we encourage everyone to stay motivated, support one another, and finish the year strong.
Message from the Senior School
As we approach the end of the year, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our Senior School students. The effort, maturity, and positivity you have shown throughout this term truly reflect the values of our school community.
To our Year 12 students, thank you for being exceptional role models. You have paved the way for future cohorts, and we look forward to celebrating your achievements at the upcoming graduation events. We will truly miss seeing you every single day (as we have for the past three years)
To our Year 11 students, your turn is coming soon. Take every opportunity to learn, lead, and grow as you prepare to step into your final year.
We would also like to thank our VCE teachers, mentors, and families for their unwavering support and guidance. Together, we continue to build a culture of excellence and belonging within our Senior School.

Careers Pathways Planner
There are many pathways into a career or a job. Using the diagram below, you can navigate a number of exit points from school to explore the range of courses and qualifications you can obtain from both TAFE and Universities. Furthermore, each of the training institutions have direct networks with key businesses in a range of industries. This ensures that each student has access to obtain “real” employment.
For Current School Students
- VCE and VCE Vocational Major(VM): Provide a pathway to employment or further training into TAFE and/or University.
- School-based apprenticeships and traineeships (SBATs): Students can start working toward a qualification while completing their secondary certificate, through programs like Head Start.
- Vocational Education and Training Delivered to School Students (VDSS): This allows students to undertake VET as part of their senior secondary program.
For Post-Secondary and/or School Leavers
- Vocational Education and Training (VET): TAFE and other registered training providers offer flexible VET courses that combine practical, hands-on training with classroom learning to gain industry-specific skills and qualifications.
- Undergraduate Courses: TAFE also offer post-secondary qualifications, such as Certificate IV and Diplomas that allows direct access to University courses.
- Apprenticeships and traineeships: These provide practical, on-the-job training that leads to nationally recognised qualifications and can be started at any stage of a career.
- University and postgraduate study: For those seeking professional careers, options include a graduate program or a postgraduate teaching degree for those wishing to become a teacher.
