Principal’s Report

Term 3 has been a particularly busy term, with a number of very important school events being undertaken.

Senior School Events

There have been lots of senior school events taking place this term as our VCE Vocational Major students complete their learning and our VCE students begin their Structured Revision Program in the lead up to exams.

A unique senior school event is the Teacher Assembly, where our Year 12 student cohort thank their teachers and award staff prizes. This year’s Teacher Assembly was held earlier this week and was a great success. Thanks to the Senior School Team for their organisation.

Student Learning Conference and Subject Selection

I would like to thank all our families for their attendance at our Student Learning Conferences this term.

We saw an increase in family participation across Year 7 – 12 Student Learning Conferences and the subject selection meetings were fully allotted. Thanks to our Careers and Pathways team for all their work.

Industrial Action Over

Recently an in-principle agreement was reached between the government and Australian Education Union, bringing an end to industrial action in government schools.

As of yesterday, the in-principle agreement was passed in a vote by all school staff in Victoria. This brings an end to the period of industrial action that has taken place during negotiations across the past 12 or so months.

Thankyou to the whole community for their understanding and cooperation during this period of disruption.

Book Week

I’d like to thank our Library Team for their wonderful work in running Book Week this year. So many new, unique and novel (pun intended) events were held throughout the week. Congratulations to the many students who won prizes including the teacher book bingo and bookmark competitions.

Wishing all our students and staff a safe and restful school holiday break. We’ll be back in Term 4 with another busy term.
