To the Elevation Secondary College community,
As 2025 draws to a close, I’d like to thank the Elevation community for their continued support of our school.
Inaugural VCE Cohort and VCE Results
Our first cohort of Year 12 students have now graduated after completing a highly successful Year 12.
Some highlights include:
- 34 of our students graduating with the VCE Vocational Major qualification, the new strand of the VCE.
- 3 of our students winning Vocational Education and Training (VET) awards at the Hume Whittlesea LLEN Awards.
- An overall VCE Study Score mean of 28.6 – which is an exceptionally strong outcome.
- The English Study Score mean was 29 and the English as an Additional Language mean was 33.
- 37% of our students received an ATAR over 70.
This is a wonderful performance by our students and we wish them all the best as they head out into the world to follow their respective pathways. This group of students will always hold a special place in the history of our school as the inaugural graduating class.
Staff Farewells
We have a number of new teaching and non teaching staff joining us in 2026 and of course a few farewells as we close out 2025.
We do have two special farewells this year.
Angela Lane
It is bittersweet that we farewell Angela Lane, our foundation Assistant Principal – who has been appointed as an Assistant Principal at Sunbury Downs College. This is a very exciting move for Angela as she will be able to work within her own Sunbury community for the first time, something she has wanted to do for a long time. While we are excited for Angela’s career progression, she will obviously be a huge loss for our school. Angela was the first employee appointed to Elevation Secondary College in 2019 and led the establishment of many school programs.
In her time at Elevation Secondary College, Angela has worn many different hats. She has led Year 7 Transition, Year Level Teams, set up processes for our Year Level Teams, set up our Wellbeing Teams and processes, as well as leading the implementation of the Disability and Inclusion program at Elevation. The work she led at Elevation has in turn supported many schools in the Hume-Merri-Bek network to establish their own Disability and Inclusion programs.
Many of you are aware that in addition to her work at Elevation Secondary College – Angela has been a member of and strong advocate for the SES. She established the Women in Rescue program, which is now nationally celebrated within the SES. What many of you do not know, is that in the weeks leading up to the opening of Elevation Secondary College in the summer of 2020, Angela attended the Mallacoota bushfire recovery program and returned to open the school for students that same month.
In many ways Angela has been the heart and soul of our school. For many of our students, teachers and parents she is the first person they turn to for support and help in a time of need.

A farewell message from Angela…
Dear Elevation Community,
It is with very mixed emotions that I announce that I will be moving on from Elevation Secondary College at the end of this year. It has been an absolute privilege to help build this school from a dusty construction site to the large thriving secondary college that it is today over the past six years. It has been an honour to work alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and remarkable young people.
I am deeply proud of everything we have built together and grateful for the relationships, trust, and shared commitment to supporting our young people. I will carry the memories of this community with me, and I wish every student continued success and joy in the years ahead. Elevation is a school built on strong values and shared purpose, and I am confident it will continue to thrive. I leave with deep appreciation and pride in all we have achieved together.

Andrew Stock
A huge congratulations to Andrew Stock – our Junior School Assistant Principal. Andrew has just been appointed as the Principal of Sale College in Gippsland, a position which will begin in Term 1 of 2026. This is a huge achievement for Andrew and we wish him all the best.
Sale College is a two-campus school in the township of Sale, with over 1000 students.
Andrew joined us three years ago from Wallan Secondary College and has made a huge impact on our school – particularly in the Junior School and Year 7 Transition programs. Shortly after arriving, Andrew was responsible for introducing ‘pleasantries’ to our school as a way of putting our behavioural expectations of Aim High, Work Hard and Be Good into action. As well as his high expectations for students, Andrew also has a fun side, which can be seen through his leadership of the gaming and juggling clubs.
Andrew’s strong leadership of the Junior School has made a huge impact on our school – as has his Elevate Your Impact teacher training program, which is now making an impact with teachers around the state.
I’m sure that Andrew will do an extraordinary job as a school Principal and that Sale College is very lucky. Best of luck Andrew! It is a privilege to lead a school as a Principal and I’m sure you will do an amazing job.
A farewell message from Andrew…
It has been a privilege to serve the Elevation Secondary College community over the past three years.
Serving as Assistant Principal – Junior School has allowed me to work alongside an exceptional group of students, families and staff, all united by a shared commitment to learning, wellbeing and high expectations. Elevation is a school defined by its people, and I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me throughout my time here.
To our students I thank you for the way you have embraced our shared expectations to Aim High, Work Hard and Be Good. Each day, you have demonstrated growth in responsibility, resilience and character, and watching your confidence and aspiration develop has been the most rewarding part of my role.
To our families I thank you for your partnership, trust and ongoing support. Strong schools are built through shared commitment, and your engagement has been central to the success of our Junior School.
To the staff of Elevation, I extend my sincere thanks and admiration. Your professionalism, care and unwavering focus on young people is exceptional, and it has been a privilege to lead and learn alongside you. I am particularly grateful to our Principal for the trust, guidance and support provided throughout my leadership journey.
Elevation Secondary College will always hold a special place for me. I leave proud of what we have built together and confident the school will continue to thrive in 2026 and beyond.
Andrew Stock

As Andrew’s appointment has come quite late in the year and we will have news on his replacement in the Junior School at the start of next year.
A few other staff who are moving schools or taking some significant leave are:
- Rory Henderson – Rory has been with us since 2022 and has performed in a variety of leadership roles within the school. Most recently, Rory has setup a number of data processes across the school and coordinated much of the VCE Exam process.
- James Devlin – James has also contributed a huge amount to our school as leader of both Year 8 and Year 10 – as well as running the Aspire points program and assisting in the setup of our College Athletics carnival.
- Sarah Darling – Sarah has been the Transition Coordinator at ESC this year and has been teaching with us since 2023.
- Mehmet Cicek – Mehmet has been teaching with us since 2024.
- Kyla Bokelund – Kyla has been teaching Psychology and Science with us since 2024.
- Liam Bullock – Liam is returning to Cranbourne East SC after teaching with us this year
- Greg Coles – Greg will be taking leave for the 2026 school year.
- Sharmen Warnakulasuriya – Our Lab Tech has been with us since 2024.
- Sunny Kim – Sunny has been teaching Science with us this year.
- Nadine Kotze – Nadine has worked with us as an aide this year.
