VCE Results
It’s been a wonderful end to the year as we celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students who undertook an accelerated VCE subject this year. As many of you know, about 35 of our Year 11 students accelerated into a Year 12 subject this year – Media, Psychology and Turkish (via the Victorian School of Languages).
Our first group of Year 12 Study Score results were very strong. We had some very high achievement. Adem Rakipi scored 41 in Media and Shannon Jot Kaur scored a 40 in Media. This puts them in the top 9% of all students studying Media in the state. Zeynep Sivka also scored over 40 in Turkish.
We also had strong consistent performance across the board, with a school median of 30 across Psychology and Media. Media had a mean Study Score of 32.4. While it is very hard for individual students to gain an individual score over 30, achieving a median of 30 is even harder and displays this consistency of achievement.
Congratulations to all of our students who completed one of these subjects for their efforts over the two years. Thanks also to our 2024 subject teachers Jason Stradella and Daniel Mulligan and our Senior School Team for preparing our students.
These results bode well for next year as the whole Year 12 cohort attempts their VCE.
2025 School Captains
I would like to extend my congratulations to our 2025 School Captains Manpreet and Zahna, and Vice Captains Akshat and Thabile.
We welcome this exciting new chapter for our college with their appointment as our inaugural school captains and look forward to the vision and passion they will bring to their roles.

Catastrophic Fire Arrangements
A timely reminder as we head into bushfire season – that Elevation Secondary College is located within a BAR 4 bushfire risk area. This means that if a “Catastrophic” bushfire alert is declared for our area, the school will be directed to close for the length of the catastrophic alert. Should this eventuality arise, it is likely that we would have at least one day’s warning to alert the community.
Best Wishes for the Festive Season
On behalf of the staff at Elevation Secondary College, we would like to wish the whole community a happy and safe festive season.
Colin Burke
Principal
