Middle School

Year 9

Exam Preparation

Our Year 9 students are currently preparing for their upcoming exams, an important milestone as they continue to develop their study habits, academic confidence, and resilience. We wish all students the very best as they work diligently in the lead-up to their assessments.

Work Experience in 2026

Looking ahead, Year 9 students have been informed about their Work Experience Week, scheduled for mid-2026. This program is a valuable opportunity for students to gain insight into different industries, explore possible career pathways, and develop practical workplace skills.

We encourage students to begin discussing their interests with family members and teachers now, so they can secure meaningful placements aligned with their future goals.

Brainstorm Productions – Bullying & Cyber Safety Performance

On Thursday, 16th October, our Year 9 cohort attended a performance by Brainstorm Productions. The interactive show delivered important messages about bullying, cyber safety, and respectful relationships.

Through powerful storytelling and relatable scenarios, students were encouraged to reflect on their online behaviour, the impact of their actions, and how to make positive choices in both digital and real-life situations.

This incursion forms part of our broader wellbeing program, supporting students to build empathy, resilience, and social responsibility.

City Experience Program

Families now have access to the City Experience permission form on Compass, which must be submitted with payment by Sunday, 1st December.
The City Experience Program gives students the opportunity to explore Melbourne through hands-on learning activities that foster independence, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation of the city’s culture and history.

Highlights for this year’s City Experience include:

  • Melbourne Zoo
  • Rock Climbing
  • Old Melbourne Gaol Tour
  • IMAX & Melbourne Museum
  • Queen Victoria Market
  • ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image)
  • Eureka Skydeck
  • Australian Sports Museum

The City Experience promises to be a fun, engaging, and memorable week for all students combining learning with adventure as they navigate and enjoy all that Melbourne has to offer. Expectations for the City Experience have also been made very clear. This four-day program involves students travelling with staff to and from the city each day to explore Melbourne’s CBD and take part in a range of enriching activities. To participate, students must demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, appropriate uniform, and positive behaviour. Students who do not meet these expectations, or who fail to show improvement, will not be given the privilege to attend the City Experience.

Year 10

Build 10 Program

Students have successfully completed the Build 10 Program at Kangan Institute in Broadmeadows. Students in the program have undertaken an accelerated pathway to receive a nationally recognised qualification towards further employment and training. Well done to all students that have shown great dedication in completing the program and taking the first steps in their career journey.
