Junior School

Year 7

As we enter November and the weather warms up, it’s essential for all students to bring a water bottle to school to stay hydrated and focused throughout the day. Our Year 7 students have now settled in well, are familiar with the school rules, and should be consistently arriving on time to both school and class. Attendance remains crucial, as each day provides valuable learning experiences and helps students keep up with their studies. Let’s make the most of every day as we continue to progress through the year together!

Year 8

Year 8 students recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in a full day of activities led by Mancave and Flourish Journey at ESC. The sessions were engaging and immersive, encouraging students to develop resilience and self-confidence while building connections with one another. A reminder for Year 8 students and families about the expressions of interest for the 2025 School for Student Leadership (SSL) program! SSL is an eight-week leadership development camp aiming to foster personal growth, aspirations, and a commitment to becoming global citizens.

About the 2025 SSL Program

The SSL Program is an initiative by the The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) which offers an exciting residential program designed to provide students with a unique learning experience. Through hands-on learning projects, students develop their social skills, deepen their connection to the community, and gain valuable life skills. It’s a wonderful opportunity for personal growth and learning beyond the classroom. The 2025 program will run in Term 4 at the Dinner Plains campus.

Spots are limited for this incredible program, with six places available for our school. Expressions of interest are now open. Students will then be shortlisted, interviewed and selected to represent our school at SSL camp, 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to grow, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact on their communities.
