As we move through the busy weeks of Term 1, we would like to remind all Junior School students of the importance of bringing their school bags each day. Having a bag ensures that students can safely carry their books, lunch, and important notices between home and school, helping them stay organised and ready to learn.
On the 23rd of March, we celebrated Harmony Day at school, with students participating in a range of wonderful activities, including cultural dancing, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and diversity within our community.
Looking ahead to Term 2, as the weather begins to cool, we encourage students to come prepared by wearing appropriate Elevation uniform items such as the long sleeve shirt or grey jumper, as well as Elevation scarves and beanies to stay warm and comfortable throughout the day.
In Term 2, Junior School will also be introducing Zooper Stars, a program recognising students with high attendance in Term 1 and rewarding them for their consistent effort and commitment throughout Term 2.
Year 7
Our Year 7 students continue to settle into secondary school life. Over the past month, students have been building new friendships, developing positive learning habits, and becoming more confident in navigating their schedules and classrooms. This term, our Year 7 students also participated in NAPLAN, demonstrating resilience and focus as they completed the assessments.
We encourage all students to continue taking responsibility for their organisation by ensuring they bring the correct equipment to every class and make effective use of their school diary to record homework and upcoming CAT dates. Developing these habits will support their success throughout the year. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and enthusiasm as the term progresses.

Year 8
It has been great to see our Year 8 students leaning into the familiarity of their second year of high school. They have hit the ground running, with a clear understanding of the school’s values and expectations and this has been reflected in an increased number of Aspire Points awarded to students across all classes.
Recently, students received their first round of learning task results, we encourage students and families to access compass to review these results along with Learning Behaviour reports. These two tools will offer families opportunities to celebrate improvements and assist students to consider next steps for improvement as we start moving into Term 2.
