Year 7
Our Year 7 students have had an exciting and enriching few weeks! Recently, they travelled to La Trobe University for a hands-on excursion exploring university life. Students experienced a taste of the future as they stepped inside real lecture theatres, learned about archaeology and science, and even created their own shampoo in a lab session. The day finished with a high-energy introduction to university sports, giving students a glimpse into the many pathways available beyond secondary school.
Back at school, our Scoops of Success initiative has been running with great enthusiasm. Students have been celebrated for their growth, positive choices, and improvements across different areas of school life. The highlight, of course, has been the ice-cream rewards, always a hit with our Year 7s!

Year 8
A key highlight for our Year 8’s this term so far has been the engaging incursions delivered by SEED and The Man Cave. These programs have provided valuable opportunities for our students to build on our Personal Development curriculum. Through a blend of discussions, activities and guided reflection, our students were provided the space and support to connect with their peers while developing important social and emotional skills. Many took up the challenge to reflect on how they can better support themselves and those around them in a way that encourages connectedness, confidence and self-awareness.
Participating students were praised by the facilitators for the respect, commitment and openness they brought to each session. We are incredibly proud of our Year 8s for the way they demonstrated our school values throughout the day.
